Well, you surely got your kill-me-over-and-over-until-I-give-up-on-recovering-my-stuff device working. BTW, I was standing on that bridge.
Might want to consider not having sheer cliffs open on the sides of the portals. I survived the fall of course... into a nest of creepers and spiders. Getting out, not so much. Creepers did a fair bit of mining for you.
Well, nothing too precious lost. I'd never gone to get the good stuff.
