Actually it has that spring or whatever in the middle so it flexes. I'm not sure if they're called something different than a "skateboard" - I'll have to pay better attention next time I take a stroll through wal-mart.
I think it was italie (if not him -then Hizzout) that remarked about these things, saying they were evil or something.
ETA: Oh, duh. It's a Freerider Skatecycle.  But a 'Casterboard' was what I was thinking of.
