Programming help needed (imgchk no longer working in .145)

So imgchk the program used by art authors to check for things like missing icons, snaps, etc. has stopped working circa .145 (sits at its parsing stage), I think because the -listxml file has become too big. The author Logiqx has not been heard from in a while so I'm putting in the req. to see if this is fixable by anyone at large. Source attached:
