From what I understand it's entirely possible, just a massive amount of work, and not that satisfying to work on either because it's going to run at 1 frame per hour most of the time.

Also this kind of work requires a funky combination/cross-over of skills, talent and interest that not many people seem to have, if you look through old whatsnew.txt files you'll see the same 4-5 (and that's probably stretching it) names whenever there's a mention of discrete logic emulation.

For preservations sake, hopefully down the road someone will put together skeleton drivers for the discrete circuit games that have graphics ROMs.
