i also thought it was truly excellent on amiga and had the nice feature of being able to play it with the mouse so u could control the marble much more accurately (ie. analog) as opposed to a digital joystick.
ps. in the same area another cracking amiga game in my opinion was zany golf (altho marble madness is better to play alone, zany golf really shined when played against friends..)
