At 17-20 years old, you feel invincible. I've climbed some ridiculously rusty ladders and stuff while exploring abandoned buildings, but I've decided to stop, it's just not worth it. You start to pay attention to news stories of kids getting killed from rungs coming loose from aging mortar and realize risk does not outweigh reward. Somebody else can risk their life to take that "badass / look-at-me" photo of themselves. It's ego driven at this point, because of today's "pics or it didn't happen" mentality.
