They're both at 44.1 by default. I think there's nothing in the soundcard software to output the usb-relayed sound. Maybe if there were an 'aux' feature.
Still, and though this would be the other way, I wonder how it would handle usb speakers?
Anyways, I think I may have to do what my friend suggested, and use the Alesis monitor output to my speakers, rather than my PC. But that's a while down the road. For the time being, it's easier, and I get better sound quality, monitoring through my headphones into the Alesis.
Consider it high comedy....sincere tragedy....whatever...don't take it personally.
