You make it sound like there aren't assholes in "first world" countries and "third world" (what is this? the 90s?) are full of them. :P
Sadly the situation could be more complex than we think. Women's line of though is complex. "Are you BUYING that stuff here?" could mean:
- "Their kids look as good as mine and I'm helping (jealousy)." - "She does what I can't or my husband won't let me. I'm having a hard time paying for this." - "She really buys here? They look in a better economical position and are taking advantage of things other people really need."
To name only a few. No doubt walking away is a mean thing to do, it's a women's thing. So is punching, it's usually (but not exclusive anymore) a men's thing. But what could at first sight be a mean thing, it could also mean a big misunderstanding if you go deeper.
