I'll tell you, especially since we found out we're having twins, I have no shame whatsoever. As long as it's clean, in good shape, and hasn't been recalled, I'll take hand-me-downs from friends, family, and strangers, we've bought stuff off Craigslist, secondhand shops, whatever. This shit is expensive, and you use it most of it for such a short time, it's crazy to pay full price if you don't have to.

I look at all this "high-end" baby stuff, and all I can think is it's just a way for the parents to show off how affluent they are. The kid don't care, not at that age. Meanwhile, these idiots are drowning in credit card debt trying to maintain this pointless lifestyle. I was shaking my head looking at the $2000 cribs a few weeks ago. I mean, you use a crib for, what, less than three years? I guess it might be worthwhile if you're having like 19 kids or plan to pass it down through the generations. For me, the $100 Ikea model was just fine. They even reconfigure into little day-beds, so maybe I'll get 4-5 years out of them.

I think I would have told that stuck-up cunt to go fuck herself in so many words, which would have been awkward in a childrens' shop that was probably full of kids. I still have to work on that.
