Gatinha is standing in line to buy some clothes for our babies... from a second hand children's clothing store.
Now... toddlers outgrow stuff LONG before they are worn out... the stuff in this store looks brand new, and the selection dwarfs the selection found in any department store, and we get compliments on how cute our daughter is dressed all the time, but that's beside the point.
In walks another mother from our daughter's ballet class to sell some clothes... and sees Gatinha in line to buy. She asks "Are you BUYING that stuff here?"
"Yes, I am."
Dramatic raised eyebrows, and turns a cocked head the other way.
You know, Gatinha felt so aweful, she was crying about it.
I thought of a million mean hurtful things Gatinha could have said back at her... what a bitch.
"When you have a cute child, you don't need expensive clothes to make her look good."
That was my number one. But Gatinha would never say anything like that... she'll just feel horrible and never talk to the bitch again.
