Oh, I've been seeing various M-Audio units going for under a hundred dollars this week. I just haven't felt serious enough to bid.
I'm wondering, though: right now, I'm using a digital guitar preamp (Rocktron Taboo Artist) into the PC's line in. I tried using a super low gain clean patch with an amp sim (I think it was Revolver), and I got only a buzzing sound, like it was being way over-driven. Wouldn't running through my Roland workstation have the same effect?
Consider it high comedy....sincere tragedy....whatever...don't take it personally.
