Forget a text file. I can only think you didn't use a "target" in the html tags, such as "target=blank" or whatever. Assuming you did use html tags when typing out the link. I'm not going to bother to sift through the 'source' as it's not that big of a deal. edit: No "target" was set, therefor it would redirect the current page you're on.
The easier way is to highlight some text, then click on the 3rd button on the 2nd row (for 'Insert Hypertext'), the rest should be obvious. I've done it this way and links have opened in a new tab by left clicking.
Sorry for saying anyone that does that is a "dick". It was supposed to be a joke. I'm not a dick, I'm a tom. But the question remains, who's a harry?
