The latest trend at Gat's house is Hidden Mahjong, which we learned from watching Kung Fu Mahjong. This game kicks ass! After dealing the hand and getting a brief glimpse of it, everyone turns their hand face down, and must rely on memory from there. When you draw, you get a brief look at the new tile, but must place it face down. Discards are revealed briefly then turned face down. Sounds impossible, but it's easier than it sounds, and is an awesome challenge. Nothing sucks more than to turn over what you think is a winning hand, and realize you screwed up and just lost.
