I went to Funspot a while back with my friend and his 10-year-old son. The kid has a Wii and a DS and a bunch of games, he's at least as much of a gamer as I was at that age. At the arcade, he had no interest at all in new or old video games or pinball, but he had a grand time shoving tokens into the redemption machines by the fistful. I was glad to see him having fun, but it made me a little sad to see proof that the arcade culture that existed as late as the early-90s is just gone.
