The truth of the matter is that this piece of crap bill has support from both big government liberals/progressives and small government conservatives. Anyone arguing that it's the fault of one side or the other simply hasn't done any research and just sounds silly. I know the unavailability of wikipedia makes finding this info more difficult, but the truth is out there.
You can find your congressman/woman and senators here, along with which way they lean on SOPA/PIPA and how much money they've taken from each side. Unsurprisingly, there appears to be a lot more pro-SOPA/PIPA money spent.
