If that doesn't prove my point about (most) musicians being douchebags by nature, I don't know what it does. It screams "ego" all over the place. Just because someone feels smart by skipping school, "plays" an instrument (doesn't matter if it does good or bad) and feels a Don Juan by getting girlfriends from the same type of waste, that doesn't give you a right to feel all superior and tell other people what to do as if they have no idea about themselves. The problem is not the good/bad luck some musicians have, the problem is the pedantic attitude they take towards everyone else.
