Dude....how on EARTH did you figure out which buttons go where on my shifter? Are you some kind of genius or wizard or something???
The funny thing is, I played around with mapping the inputs in pretty much the same way you suggested, and I can't understand why I couldn't get the shifter inputs to correspond to an individual gear on my shifter, even after doing the "button 1 or button 2 or" yada yada yada...I am going to study WHY having the shifter mapped out this way actually makes it work, because right now my curiosity has the best of me.
And my mind is simply blown at the fact that it actually works this way on the real Rave Racer cab. Simply crazy.
Anyway thanks a lot dude. I think in hindsight, the first thing I should have done is tell you what kind of physical device I wanted the shifter inputs mapped to, and posted a picture so you could understand what I was dealing with. I guess you were under the impression I wanted to map the shifter inputs to some sort real analog joystick or a gamepad, no?
