It sounds like he was in the middle of saying something when the singer cut him off and launched into the song. It looks more like intra-band politics set him off than Bon Jovi specifically.
It would be a cold day in hell before I'd destroy any of my guitars like that, though, regardless of how big of a dick the singer was.
