If the flashcarts support AVI, follow these steps:
Step 1: Use a DVD to AVI conversion program. I have no idea how these work but I assume you already know how to do this.
Step 2: Use Virtualdub to extract the audio file from the video, as WAV (file - save WAV.)
Step 3: Use Audacity to load the WAV file and blank or bleep out the offending parts in the WAV file.
Step 4: Use Virtualdub to reinsert the audio back into the video (load the video, check "Direct Stream Copy" under Video, in Audio select Audio from other file and choose the edited audio track, then file - save as AVI)
It's a bit of pain, but it works and all the needed editing software is free.

Hope that helps. I was in the "why are you censoring what your kids see" camp, but I understand how difficult it can be to have a child with Asperger Syndrome.
