At first I was thinking about the whole country. Then I realized even when USA is a conflicting fire armed country, citizens are just tools to bring war everywhere via their government. Not an USA exclusive operation mind you.
We're proud to say even when corruption is inevitable, our army help against natural disasters, fight organized crime and try to keep things in line when anarchy tries to invade our territory. I'd be ashamed to say our very same army goes to other countries only to kill people while media makes them look as heroes "protecting our nation". But that's just me, each on its own.
