Except that it doesn't cost twice as much, to the point where a non-trivial number of power users and developers choose to run Windows on Apple hardware. (Seriously, saw it myself at a Microsoft .NET seminar, of all places). Meanwhile Intel is subsidizing Macbook Air clones (the Taiwanese make them at a loss and Intel makes up the difference) and they still manage to blow chunks *and* not cost significantly less.
