I 100% agree. And I already said it in the past: mechanical games could be disabled by default. Changes to makefile, mame.mak, mame.lst are needed for this, and maybe some other changes (how about a specific mechanical.lst). The devs could add options to makefile like this: make mechanical - (when you want to compile a mechanical games only build) make alldrv - (when you want to compile a build with all drivers, incl. mechanical) make - (will compile a normal/default build without the mechanical)
Of course that will not happen, as the devs disagree.
