I setup my iPad to serve as my remote control for my emulator PC. I could, but don't actually plan MAME over VNC. It just sends keystrokes through it, for things like insert quarter and config menu. I can display a different layout depending on which emulator I'm running. It works great for everythng except MAME. It sends keystrokes to the emulator PC using VNC. But VNC does not work with MAME. I think because MAME uses raw input to read the keyboard.
1. Does anybody know of any VNC servers that do work with MAME?
2. Is it possible to configure MAME to not use raw input?
3. Is it simple to recompile MAME without raw input? I haven't looked at the source since before v.116.
