Reminded of one more Chrysler flub. Thos PT Cruisers had a very quiet recall when they first came out. A/C would quit working after a week or three. Mechanics would inspect and recharge the system, everything would look OK. Three weeks later, people were back again, AC quit working. Tracer dyes weren't telling anything, so after 4-5 recharges these shops started getting a little pissy about these. Chrystelr found the issue after a few weeks, and issued a quiet recall. Two dash screws were of inappropriate length on the first 5000 or so of these made. The screws would head through the firewall, and right into the evaporator. The seal was so-so, causing a slow leak.

My wife drove hers into the ground. Not a flashy ride, but they are sturdy.
