Hopefully that's just an overzealous new guy in Bethesda's legal department who'll get smacked down shortly.
First, the term "Scrolls" is far too generic to trademark. I can't imagine they'd have a chance of prevailing in court. Second, Mojang has sold 3 million copies of Minecraft. They're sitting on enough money to put up a fight. Finally, notch is pretty popular in geek and gamer circles. If Bethesda pushes it too far, the backlash will take a nice chunk out of their sales.
