On our charcoal grill, we just leave it alone until the next time we grill. Of course we don't leave chunks of food on it fir a week either. Next time, after the fire and grill are hot again, we use either a brass brush or the edge of a steel spatula to scrape the grill. Like mentioned above, you don't want to remove the seasoning from the grill.
