'Virtualised' PC games
07/12/11 09:35 PM

My work Colleague has been banging on about Steam recently so I decided to have a poke around - I found that I could register my retail version of the original Half-life so I dug it out and banged the code in and even though it was the 'Game of the Year' addition with just Half-Life, Steam said it was the Platinum edition and gave me Blue Shift and Opposing Force too - Sweet I also added the Free version of beneath the Steel Sky' to my GOG account so I guess I can just go ahead and bin the disks of those 2 games!
Looking at how much room the rest of my games collection take up it would be nice if I could 'Visualise' more of it without have to pay again for all the on-line versions
If only GOG would allow retail registration, but if I did that what would be chances that the day after I cleared the cupboard GOG would go to the wall and fall off the internet?
So er.. what do you guys think to GOG and Steam? I guess I'm asking anyway - I've forgotten the point of this now...
