I'm on the DNC list and still get many calls. These bastards call and if you don't answer, they hang up. The bastards change the caller ID info, too. That should be a felony. Not long ago someone was spoofing the caller ID number using a number 2 digits different than mine. I called it and it was an old retired couple. I asked them if anyone else called them to let them know their number was falsely being used. They said no. I told them I had already called the phone company and they told me that I had to file a police report before they could do anything. (I wasn't being an ass to them as I knew they were innocent). They said go ahead and they would like to know the outcome. The calls from that number stopped and it changed to another number. Then they slowed down for a little while. Now I still get 2-3 per day. If you look up the caller ID number on 800notes.com, you will see people posting about phishing scams, fake charities, etc.
Those political calls should be illegal (and the TV / Radio ads too!).
Fuck all of these assholes that abuse the phone. I hope they all rot in hell!!!
Phone companies, Why are people allowed to abuse the caller ID info???
