Heh selling copper reminds me of this ejit who came on Radio 1 Newsbeat (which,admittedly, is aimed at a slightly younger demographic than you or I) to say that he broke into a electricity sub-station (the kind that have those 'HIGH VOLTAGE -Danger of DEATH keep out' signs on them) with the intention of stealing some cable to sell the copper - he was probably LUCKY he got a jolt that fried him so badly his daughter couldn't recognise him before he got anywhere near the stuff! So, yeah, he came on and said that he had been bloody stupid and wanted to warn others not to do the same - talk about stating the obvious!
