Just a tip for japanese imported words.
One of the basic rules for (terribly) converting an English word to Japanese is to add an ー symbol when syllable ends with r.
English - Katakana - Romaji Saturn - サターン - Sataan Controller - コントロラー - Kontororaa (also Kontoroora and Kontorooraa) Partner - パートナー - Paatonaa Normal - ノーマル - Noomaru Hard - ハード - Haado Heart - ハート - Haato Owner - オーナー - Oonaa
I'm still a basic japanese learner, but remembering this rule helps when you can't figure out some common words and there's no romaji.
The other thing I hate the most is when two word parts make a simplified Japanese one (so you don't write it all).
Family restaurant - ファミレス - Famiresu
But that's a different story.
