I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with 4GB RAM. Maybe I'm not understanding this or something, but in Task Manager, on the Performance tab, I rarely use more than 2.5GB RAM. Maybe I don't keep enough programs open or something. Even compiling MAME with the -j5 switch, it doesn't go above 2.5GB.
