I'm in a half-way house. I use Office 2007 at work, hated the ribbon when I first got it, and installed Classic Menu (to get the original menus as well as the ribbon).
At home, I'm still Office 2003 (does all I want), but increasingly I'm looking for the ribbon at home. LOL.
Guess it just takes time ....

No, Win 7's got a lot of shelf life yet. Specially for people like me who tend to hate / turn off the graphical glitz.
I'm still using Vista at home (an awesome OS, once you get it set-up just how you like it - and that's been a "process"), and 7 at work (liking it more each day). With VM's running everything else I want to tinker with.
I think the rush is that MS are trying to be the leader on this instead of the follower.
LOL - they could have just rolled out an iOS theme for Windows 7. That's basically what Win 8 looks like so far.
