this is NOT happening on latest MAME builds. only ONE .png file is being created with both screens merged into it.
shouldn't the "internal" snapview give me separate files ? if not, what configs should I use to get the separate files ?

I want to get the game screen of playchoice-10 games (and some others), but I only get a single .png file with both screens in it

... older MAME builds used to give me two separate .png files if using "internal" snapview (and "-snapname %g/%i" parameter).

did newer MAME builds have this feature changed ?
please help...
