Ugh! I once got an XBOX (first generation) from a client for repair. The moment I opened the lid around 5 cockroaches tried to scape. I closed the case as soon as I could and put the console inside two new plastic bags. Took the console to an open area over concrete floor and disarm every single piece of it while killing anyone I could spot with isopropyl alcohol (or with my foot when ran away). I should have killed more than 40 and many were well hidden in the most unreachable places (i.e. under hard disk's vinyl cover and below aluminum encasing).
