Yeah, isn't it awesome! Sadly my girls didn't make it through the winter. (My fault, first year noob making stupid mistakes.) I'm keeping my fingers crossed this year, losing the arrogance and taking all of the advice from the locals that I can get!

Try opening a box with over 10,000 of them in it, turning it upside down and shaking them out. (While they're exploding in a buzzing cloud around your head.) With all of the stupid things I've done that was by far the biggest adrenaline rush.  I did it for the first time wearing a bee mask and a short sleeved t-shirt. They're actually incredibly gentle as long as you're not messing with their home. They didn't start getting pissy until there were eggs and baby bees to defend.
I only got nailed a couple of times last year and that was on purpose. (If I had developed an allergy I wanted to find out with one bee and someone to drive me to the hospital, not after being stung to shit while alone in the back yard.)
