On a more serious note - I had IE9 installed for a bit before I re-installed Windows 7 recently. I don't generally use IE as my primary browser (I flip-flop between Firefox and Chrome, and usually use FF more) but I have to say that I really didn't notice much difference between IE8 and IE9. The only time I noticed a difference was on the HTML5 tests / demos, which I'm sure are tweaked by MS to run in IE better than they do in Chrome and FF - but it did kick the shit out of them in almost all of those tests (comparing with FF4 beta and Chrome dev beta).

However, IIRC I believe it lost to both FF and Chrome on http://html5test.com. I can't be 100% certain on that one though because I ran so many tests my head was spinning afterwards.

Edit: Yeah, I just checked html5test.com and IE9 scores lower than current versions of FF (3.6) and Chrome (10.0). And of course the beta versions of FF and Chrome kick the crap out of IE9 on the tests. Not that it necessarily means anything right now though.... As for normal browsing I'm guessing you will probably not see much difference between IE8 and 9 - or at least I didn't.
