Indeed. When I visited Hawaii, I think I would say that about 70%-80% of the women I saw there were hot (not counting people that I thought were tourists). If I ever visited a place like Korea or Puerto Rico, I'd probably think the same thing, even though a lot of the locals there would say those women look just average.
