Okay, that made me laugh out loud. Hehe. Tonight was difficult. My bar, really my "Cheers" where everyone knows my name and understands my diabetes and treats me well, is being shut down. The owner just had enough and sold it to another person who's doing a big renovation. So today was the "last hurrah". I generally don't go out on Sundays, but felt like doing so today. It was so odd. Really got to know the people who are regulars there, made some great emotional connections to folks, and the owner cracked open a bottle of Absinthe fortified with Sage Oil. (a legal way to supply Thujone, the active component of Absinthe which supposedly causes the "odd" feeling). I think it may be a placebo effect, but it was a really weird cognitive "drunk" that I felt/still feel even though I stopped drinking three hours ago. Tonight was like my "last hurrah" with my bar closing and my own health fading away. I figured one more night would not impact my overall death, and I really wanted to just hang with my friends. Many of whom have indicated that if it came down to it, they'd donate a kidney. And all this was said before drinking took place. It's really nice to have friends like that, and they'll always be close friends of mine.

Cheers everyone. To a long life, and no cares in the world.

Yeah, I took a taxi home tonight.
