ATI's drivers still are a bit behind Nvidia's, but they're far, far ahead of where they used to be. They hired a really good 3D programmer I used to work with and their drivers got better almost immediately, not that I can prove there's a direct connection :-) And being able to drive 6 displays from one card is super-cool, and something Nvidia can't do yet.
