>We got the California Games Mega-Tech cart.
Looks good.
As mentioned many times before, I always wondered what the arcade version looked like compared to the home computer version (I bought IBM version either 1988 or 1989). I played the computer game a fair number of times....maybe not as much compared to Broderbund's Ancient Art of War and Ancient Art of War at Sea computer games back then, but I did play California Games many times on the computer then.
The only other 1980s era arcade game that I hope can be located/preserved is Arcadia's Rockford because that is another game that I wonder how it compares to the home computer version of Rockford. Fortunately, unMAMEd has image references and one of the Arcadia flyers on TAFA has mention of Rockford on the flyer, so it does have a decent chance of actually existing and maybe being eventually found. So far, that has not been the case with California Games since no flyers are online yet that advertise California Games. And it was probably a guess on System 16 web site of if it existed. (this was probably before Sixtoe's time of running System 16 web site?) http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=706
It's now great to finally have this verified and confirmed.
That leaves 15 megatech games yet to be found or identified. Great to have California Games now off of that list. --- http://mamedev.org/source/src/mame/drivers/megatech.c.html ---
Yep.....that's California Games alright.
