I set all as it should be - at least for those parts. I don't know about anything deeper, like the Advanced TCP/IP Settings or if anything is messed up there or not or if that would make any difference. And I am using OpenDNS.
After I did the flushdns there was one site that usually has trouble loading in Firefox (if it loads at all), and I was able to get there. Then, just for grins I tried amazon.com. Nothing. It just timed out on a blank page. Later I tried to reload that other site... It loaded to about 60%, then stopped.
I tried later, and it worked... then some time after that - it didn't work (again).
What I'm thinking of doing is taking my computer up to work and using their Wi-Fi, then see if I can get to any of those sites in FF & IE. If I can (and I'm doubting I'll be able to) then... well, I'm not sure. That would mean there is a problem with CenturyL(st)ink and OpenDNS.
If I can't then the problem should be on MY computer.
