I liked BetterGrass, but haven't tried it. Is the latest version the mod responsible for turning dirt green rather than adding grass to the sides of dirt blocks? I saw that in a couple videos, and really didn't like that effect. BetterLight would probably get me killed, I tend to watch that light grid closely. Mo' Creatures... well, maybe. But a mod that actually adds things is more likely to break and possibly ruin the world when MC updates. I personally haven't looked for a new texture pack since the 1.2 update killed the ones I had.
