Dude, I dug from my bedroom straight down to bedrock... nothing.
So started again at bedroom and went horizontal... paydirt city in short order...
Found a massive (so far) endless cavern that, dig this... is connected to both Blackburns and my old underwater cavern (under my underwater glass diving platform), and I think to a part DMala was digging too... we saw a sign I think he made.
All three of our mines are actually one giant convoluted endless cavern!
Blackburn and I found 7 Diamond, gold, red stone, blue stuff all in one spot.. oh yeah.. then we both died going over a rapid waterflow that ended in lava complete with archer skeleton. Lost it all. I got back twice, once just had a fluff of wool to fight the skeleton with (hit a sheep coming fromthe spawn point), but he killed me again of course.
BUT there was tons more of gold in those walls... we just called it a night.

ALSO BEWARE: Some dude named Noah joined the server... who's that? How'd he get the server IP? Anywho, he politely left when I explained it wasn't a public server... who's to say he doesn't come back and rape (grief) tho :\
