MAMEWorld Forums - EmuChat - To buy or not to buy

Sorry to come out with a rediculous question, but with my lifestyle and with money I tend to be crap at making choices.

Wanting to start an arcade like collection of my own, just like game boards and that, but since money is tight I'm probably going to buy a Naomi board for myself since I like them allot and it's a good system for games. I can get one for about £51 on giz10p, which I thought is a great price for one. However I'll also need to buy some JST-RA, JST-NH and some JST-VL connectors with pins. The buttons I won't worry about yet.

This Christmas gone by, my friend sent enough to buy and ship a Naomi, and I also had £30 spare. Total money I have is £90 but I do not want to use it all up. I can't buy a game to go with it yet, but if I don't it seems rude since my friend sent the money for me to buy it as a christmas present. Asking someone else, they asked me:

How much is it? - All in total it's about £71-£79
Do you need it? - Not as a suvival tool...
Do you want it? - Yes, very much
Can you use it? - Partially

Last question I didn't answer to them. In essence, on one hand this is a gift and I can buy it and begin my type of collection, but on the other it's a lot of money (to me) since I normally couldn't buy this, plus it's cutting into money supposed to be for fixing my PC (which it's fully working now)... but yet it seems ruse to not get it...

It confuses me like hell and because of the way I work I can't decide. So yeah, thanks to whoever read and please give me some advice, it really helps with decisions like this...

BTW, wasn't sure where to post but it's arcade stuff, but move it if it's wrong...
