Yeah, it's pretty cringeworthy, especially the bit in the car where you can clearly see he's fingering it as though it's a tin whistle. But I had to laugh out loud when it gets to the key change.

Speaking of recorders, I've been playing mine a fair bit recently, and I'm noticing more than ever that it's a very unforgiving instrument. You have very limited dynamic range, and it sounds awful if you don't get the air column velocity right for each note.

So why the hell do they try to teach it at primary school as though it's a nice, simple instrument for the kids? Piano or glockenspiel would be far easier for a beginner!
