I used it for a day. It was useful in some ways like saving overall space compared to having the quick launch + the area where you have a rectangle button for every single thing you have open but overall its annoyance outweighed the good. For one thing, you can't have it launch just anything like the quick launch can, you drag a folder into the area and it does nothing, and some shortcuts dropped in there didn't add a button and just wanted to be pinned into the start menu, which I still haven't been able to get back to my preferred single row format.
