Is this a false Trojan alarm by Kaspersky, when using mingw2007?
01/05/11 07:29 PM Attachment: verinfo.zip 4 KB (7 downloads)

Yesterday when I was compiling my earlier Model3 code based on mame(0135u1), using mingw2007 download from mamedev, my Kaspersky suddenly reported that the just compiled file "obj\windows\mame\build\verinfo.exe" contains a trojan named "Exploit.Win32.Painkiller.b", and the building is blocked.

Haven't experienced this when back in 2007~2009, when I was using AVG, the free anti-virus tool. My Kaspersky was purchased in 2010, while the mingw for MAME has been upgraded. Kaspersky didn't report similar problem when using mingw2010, but mingw2007 is needed to compile earlier version of MAME.

Another alarm is, "libexec\gcc\mingw32\4.2.1-sjlj\collect2.exe" was once reported accessing my MSN data.

Has anyone experienced similar problem? Is above false alarms, or our mingw2007 archive on mamedev server was infected?

attached is my just compiled "verinfo.exe" 0135u1.
