I had someone (tech support) to have me hold the power button on a computer for (maybe?) 30 seconds after having powered it down. I can't recall what the problem was or why I had to do it. ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif)
But I guess it was to get rid of any electrical charge that would still be on the board.
