No. You can apply these same techniques to cheaper programs though, but I can't give you specifics for them because I don't waste my time on use them. Time line audio and video editing programs have all had the same general rules since Cakewalk in the 90's. Only new options have been added and you go to different menus to get to stuff, they name things differently, some options are missing from some, max quality, HD capabilities etc.
