I have a voracious appetite for the written word, and a problem with instant gratification when I wander into a Borders or Barnes and Noble with more than $40 in my wallet. Probably the only thing I collect, and even then it's for reading (and then keeping should I ever want to re-read it), not for looking at. Usually have around 10 or more books simmering in various states of completion.

Currently reading...
"1001 Video Games To Play Before You Die."
"You Are Not A Gadget" - Jaron Lanier
"Burton and Swinburne in the Strange Affair of Spring-Heeled Jack" - Mark Hodder

The best recently read? I rather liked "For The Win" by Cory Doctorow, essentially a Young Adult book... Found it preachy as usual but overlooked it. And lately I've been getting into the "Finder" series by Carla Speed McNeil, they're quite excellent.
